Merry Mary!
December 15, 2014

Heading out to California, first time ever, for the holidays for what will be interesting on many levels for me.  Wishing all many blessings and a beautiful Merry Christmas.  May your holidays be filled with joy and peace, and have a fantastic New Year’s Celebration.    It’s  been a gift to follow and join a community provided by the reader element of wordpress and I want to thank all of you for your unseen yet timely support through your postings and shared experiences.

If there is anything I can bring to the table for someone, just tell yourSelf “I am a work of art”.  And let your expression unfold.

2015 will see the greater manifestation of my next project – The Healing Heart Common and I invite you all to share in it from near and far (I’m in Toronto – it is a multi-dimensional approach to cultivating our awakened hearts through meditation – retreats – workshops – art).

Peace

It’s the Most Wonderful Time
December 13, 2014

(if you thought I was going to say of the year, sorry to burst your bubble..hahaha..the only wonderful time is always NOW (regardless of the date, no disrespect meant though because the Christmas vibe can be pretty energizing and the song is absolutely fantastic)

have you
sang,
have you danced,
today
in celebration
of all
the good
the bad
the passionate
and indifferent
have you embraced
it
as
is?
hugged a tree
stood by yourself

I use to believe in love
December 13, 2014

I believed
In Love
Now I’m realizing
I have come
To a new
Understanding,
A growing
Knowing.
My belief
No longer
An intellectual
Quest
Seeking
To understand
A Construct
Beyond the mind,
Constantly evolving
All the time
And really more
Than can be
Communicated
In a rhyme.
It is
A message
White dove
Carries from
Above,
Angels
Wings
Beating,
Flutter
My heart
Unfurl
Petal by petal
Revelation
The vibration
Is being
Love

Flame On
December 10, 2014

Burn Desire
The Power of Love
Twin
Flame
Maybe
Soulmate
Maybe
Karmic
Or
Wounded
Or
Romantic
Maybe
In the end
It’s all the same
Only one way

The Grinch Returned a Gift to My Self
December 8, 2014

Xmas Neighbour

As a boy,
And for most children,
Christmas was a joy!
Filled with magic
And fun,
Then the Grinch,
In many of its forms
Took my world by storm.

Rising Up
December 7, 2014

Just wrote this, listening to multiple songs by Explosions in the Sky, although beautiful, passionate music, is fuelling an emotional vibe within me.  Fragments of whatever the fuck I am at times seeking to sort through what is true and no longer serves me…moments of tailspun, spasmatic confusion sandwiched in between moments of crystal clear clarity but no consistency.  Like a child learning to walk and my face is getting tired of smashing on the floor, what do I not get..or is it that I’m learning another level of patience?  All of whatever is rising up teaches me love…love of God, love Self, unconditional, true love…these descriptions are all the same thing of the absolute…looks like romantic love, not to be disrespected because I enjoy partaking in the creativity of romantic love, is not the cake, merely an ingredient, bit part, of the love cake mix.

There has not been a

Day

In the last

Few months

That I have not cried

At least once.

No idea

Why

Sometimes

As the layers

Of my rose,

Heart

Unfurl.

The Wells of Belief
December 4, 2014

Star crossed
Teary eyed
A part of my heart
That has never died
A knowing
Though
That
We
Were never
Meant to be.
You and your
Family
Came first.

Poetic Perception – a twist today – Mumford and Sons “I Will Wait”
December 1, 2014

I’ve always been in awe with music.  Lyrics, composition , how through the decades new creations spring forth on a daily basis across all genres.  I’m always intrigued by what inspired a song and how I or the listener can interpret it in their own context.  No lie, some of my poems have been influenced by musicians from RUSH, Boston, U2, Seal, Sarah McLachlan to Tom Petty.

Today I’m taking the lyrics to “I Will Wait for You” by Mumford and Sons, which has been a bit of a personal anthem lately and in italics give my poetic perception.

Let me take you on a trip.
